Jonathan Keegan

I was born and raised in Wilmington, NC and attended Laney high school (home of Michael Jordan). I attended UNC Charlotte to pursue a degree in computer engineering but left the field and ultimately received a BSBA degree in Finance.

Soon after graduation, I left the University City area and moved to the Ballantyne area before purchasing my first home in the Stonehaven neighborhood in 2010. In 2013, I picked up the hobby of running and yoga to lose weight and try and kick the habit of smoking. I’ve completely multiple races and in 2019, I completed the Chattanooga 70.3 Half Ironman and attended two yoga retreats in Costa Rica and Croatia. Through running, I met my longtime partner, Emily, in 2020 and we moved to Seversville in late 2022 with my asking pit bull, Knox and Emily’s, orange tabby, Figaro. With her encouragement, we have ran multiple marathons sans more half marathons than I can count. While I have not hung up my wetsuit, cycling, running, yoga, golf (ball and disc) are my main focus as well as reading and building my whiskey collection.

I began my career at the CIT Group, a subprime lender, and left in 2011 to join Wells Fargo Capital Finance in their Asset Based Lender (ABL) group following CIT’s bankruptcy. I joined Truist Securities, the successor of SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, in 2015 as a Portfolio Manager in Truist’s ABL group.

I wanted to serve on the Seversville’s Community Board as I want to be engaged in my community as well as build a safe, nurturing, and welcoming community for everyone.
